{"id":231915,"date":"2024-04-19T12:25:56","date_gmt":"2024-04-19T16:25:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ocmulgeewatertrail.com\/?p=231915"},"modified":"2024-04-29T10:15:05","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T14:15:05","slug":"notice-save-the-date-for-paddle-the-forks-ii-on-6-8-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ocmulgeewatertrail.com\/index.php\/2024\/04\/19\/notice-save-the-date-for-paddle-the-forks-ii-on-6-8-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"NOTICE:  paddle event, &#8216;Paddle the Forks II&#8217;, to be held on 6\/8\/2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join us as we paddle to the confluence of the Ocmulgee and Oconee rivers where the Altamaha is born!<\/p>\n<p>The Ocmulgee Water Trail Partnership is sponsoring its 7th annual paddle event on Saturday, June 8, 2024.\u00a0 &#8220;<strong>Paddle the Forks II<\/strong>&#8221; will put-in at the Lumber City Landing on Hwy 341 in Lumber City, Georgia and take out at Towns Bluff Landing in Hazelhurst, Georgia. This paddle is expected to take <em>at least six hour<\/em>s depending upon river flow.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration opens at 7:30 AM at the Lumber City Landing. A shuttle (included) will depart at 9:00 AM from the take-out at Towns Bluff Landing, 45 Riverwood Trail, Hazelhurst, Georgia.<\/li>\n<li>Children 12 and under are FREE with paid adult registration (one child per paid adult ticket).<\/li>\n<li>T-shirts are included with PAID tickets. Sizes are not guaranteed for tickets purchased after May 21st.<\/li>\n<li>Boat rental IS NOT included in the ticket price.<\/li>\n<li>ACA Insurance forms, and photo waivers must be completed for each paddler at registration. We will use your registration information to pre-populate these forms as much as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Remember to bring &#8211; and wear &#8211; your Personal Floatation Devices.
